GAZIPUR, July 29, 2025 (BSS) - National Citizen Party (NCP) Convener Nahid Islam today categorically said that the July charter and July declaration must be implemented by August 5.

“There is no alternative to the July charter and July declaration…It is our clear message,” he said this at a street rally at the historic Bhawal Rajbari road in Gazipur city this afternoon.

Referring to the draft of July charter published recently by the government, Nahid said, “We want to see the full implementation of the July charter, not the draft”.

In this connection, he said the next election will be held on the basis of the July charter and the next elected government would be compelled to implement the charter.

On the reform issue, the NCP leader said that national consensus should be made on how the reform would be effective.

Highlighting the NCP’s activities in 64 districts, Nahid said, “We have travelled Gopalganj, none can stop us. Today we are in Gazipur. We will go in every inch of land across the country. We will eliminate Mujibism. We must bring them to book”.
