EC registers 66 organizations as election observers

DHAKA, Nov 6, 2025 (BSS) - The Election Commission (EC) has registered 66 non-governmental organizations as election observer agencies ahead of the upcoming 13th national parliamentary election.

This was disclosed in a press release signed today by Md. Ruhul Amin Mollik, Director (Public Relations) of the EC Secretariat.

According to the EC release, after completing all registration procedures on November 6, the Election Commission, in the first phase, granted registration to 66 NGOs as local election observer agencies for a period of five years.

The registered organizations will be able to observe various elections, including the upcoming 13th national parliamentary election, in accordance with the Election Observation Guidelines 2025, it added.

The observer organizations are - Pathway, Pallishree, RISDA-Bangladesh, Rashmi Human Development Organization (RHDO), Integrated Community Development Society (ICDS), Bakerganj Forum, Active Aid Welfare Organization, Sathi, Bakultali Mahila Sangsad (BMS), Association of Muslim Welfare Agencies in Bangladesh (AMWAB), Hope, Odhikar, RPO Foundation, Organization for Social Advancement (Usha), Samaj Unnayan Palli Sangstha (SDRS), Human Rights Support Society (HRSS), Songati Samaj Kalyan Sangstha, ADAB (Association of Development Agencies in Bangladesh), Lighthouse, Rupantor, Society for Bright Social Services, Abdul Momen Khan Memorial Foundation, Gana Unnayan Kendra (GUK), Chand Manab Unnayan Sangstha, Bureau of Social Watch, Antoranga Samaj Kalyan Sangstha (ASKS), Professional Research Advocacy Training Action Yard (Protyay), Manobadhikar O Samaj Unnayan Sangstha (MOSUS) , Bangladesh Society for Ecological Research Initiative (B.S.E.R.I), Ashroy Foundation, Karmo Unnayan Kendra (WDC), Alokito Samaj Kalyan Sangstha, Bichoron Kalyan Sangstha, Impact Initiative, Action for Social Development (ASD), Seba Foundation, Rural Advancement Committee for Bangladesh (RAC-Bangladesh).

Other approved organisations are-DemocracyWatch, Protyay Social Foundation, Voluntary Rural Development Society (DRDS), URPSA (Rural and Urban Poor's Partner for Social Advancement), Association for Socio-Economic Advancement (ASIA), Charu Development Association (CDA), SCOPE, Participatory Advancement Social Service (PASS), Community Assistance for Rural Development (CARD), Centre for Rights and Development (CRD), Facilities for Agriculture Rehabilitation & Environment (FARE), Agragati Seba Sangstha, Dinajpur Palli Unnayan Prochesta (DIPUP), Samahar-Multidisciplinary Research and Development Foundation, Biyan Moni Society (BMS), Gorib Unnayan Sangstha (GUS), Sochoton Nagorik Society, Dipto Mahila Unnayan Sangstha (DMUS), Nazrul Smriti Sangsad (NSS), Brati Samaj Kalyan Sangstha, Manab Shohayok Kendra (MSK), Rural Vision (RD), Grameen Economic and Social Advancement, Moulik Odhikar Bastobayon Sangstha, Bibi Ashia Foundation, Daktarbari Social Welfare Foundation (DAWF), Youth Initiative for Socio-Economic Activity, Mukti Bondhon Foundation, and Disha Samaj Kalyan Sangstha.
