BCG seizes 32 kgs of venison in Koyra

KHULNA, July 30, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Coast Guard (BCG) seized 32 kilograms of venison in Koyra upazila of Khulna last night.

Lieutenant Commander Syam-ul-Haque, Media Officer of the Bangladesh Coast Guard, said that acting on a tip-off, the Coast Guard Station, Koyra, conducted an operation at 11pm on Tuesday in the Patakhali area under Koyra police station.

During the operation, law enforcement personnel recovered 32 kgs of venison from an abandoned sack. However, the poachers, sensing the presence of the Coast Guard, managed to flee the scene.

The seized venison has been handed over to the Bojbaj Forest Office of the Forest Department for further legal action, said Lieutenant Commander Syam-ul-Haque.
