Two get life term jail in Rajbari murder case

RAJBARI, July 31, 2025 (BSS) - A court here sentenced two people to life term imprisonment in a murder case in Pangsha upazila of the district in 2028.

The convicts are Khorshed Sardar and Shajahan Sardar, said public prosecutor of the court Advocate Abdur Razzak.

The court also fined the convicts Taka 10,000 each.

The prosecution's story, in brief, is that the convicts chopped Babu Khan on the night of February 21, 2018, over a business matter in Kalimohar union of Pangsha upazila.

The next morning, police recovered the body from a garlic field. 

Later, police filed a murder case with Pangsha Police Station. After completing the investigation of the case, police submitted a charge sheet against Khorshed Sardar and Shajahan Sardar. 

After a long hearing, Senior Sessions Judge Joynal Abedin pronounced the verdict on Wednesday.
