CHATTOGRAM, July 31, 2025 (BSS) - A court has sentenced a man to death for strangling his wife to death in Raozan upazila of the district. 

Judge Zahidul Haque of the Chattogram Divisional Speedy Trial Tribunal announced the verdict this afternoon against Mohammad Eskandar, a resident of Shahnagar village under Raozan municipality area.

According to the prosecution, on January 1, 2017, Eskandar strangled his wife Minu Akhter to death over dowry. 

Victim's brother Naeem Uddin filed a case with Raozan thana against Eskandor on January 2 in 2017.
