Five-day mobile book fair kicks off in Natore

NATORE, Aug 1, 2025 (BSS) -A five-day mobile book fair aimed at promoting reading culture formally started in the district today. 

The fair was inaugurated by Superintendent of Police Mohammad Amjad Hossain at the Natore District Council auditorium at 4:30 PM.

Among those present at the inaugural ceremony were Natore Additional Deputy Commissioner Md Abul Hayat, Bishwo Shahitto Kendro Organizer Professor Subidh Kumar Moitra, educationist Abdur Razzak and General Secretary of Victoria Public Library Md Altaf Hossain.

The book fair is organized by the Bishwo Shahitto Kendro in collaboration with the Ministry of Cultural Affairs. 

It will feature a diverse collection of 10,000 books. The fair, which will remain open daily from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, is set to continue until August 5.

In addition to the extensive book display, the fair will host a painting competition on August 2 and a recitation competition on August 4.
