MAGURA, August 2, 2025 (BSS) - The "Remittance Warriors Day 2025" was observed today at the Magura Technical Training Center (TTC), commemorating the historic July-August mass uprising and recognizing the contributions of expatriate workers to the national economy.

The event was jointly organized by the Magura Technical Training Center (TTC), the District Office of Expatriate Employment and Manpower and the Probashi Kallyan Bank, with support from the District Administration of Magura.

Magura's Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and ICT) attended the programme as the chief guest.

Speakers at the event emphasized the vital role of expatriates in bolstering both their families and the country's economy. They said the tireless efforts of migrant workers abroad have become a driving force in the nation's development and called for ensuring their proper recognition, safety and welfare.

During the programme, ten top remittance earners from the district were honored with crests, which were received by their family members on their behalf.

Speakers also highlighted the vital role of TTC's training programs in enhancing workforce skills and the financial support provided by the Probashi Kallyan Bank, which has significantly facilitated overseas employment.

They stressed the need for strengthening public-private partnerships to continue and expand these efforts.

The event was attended by government officials, trained workers, family members of expatriates and other distinguished guests.
