Two BCL activists arrested in Kaharole

DINAJPUR, Aug 02, 2025 (BSS)- Kaharole Police today arrested two activists of banned Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) from a village under Dabor union while they along with their supporters tried to bring out a procession.

Police also seized a banner, a motorcycle, four mobile sets and a student identity card from their possessions but other associates of the arrested persons managed to escape.

The arrested BCL activists are- Arif Alam,31, son of Khurshid Alam of Ghasipara area in Dinajpur town and Asaduzzaman Asad, son of Abdul Jabbar of Suiary area in the town.

Police intercepted a group of youths as they came to know that banned BCL activists would bring out a procession in the area. As police tried to take them to custody, most of them except two managed to escape.

OC of Kaharole thana told BSS that they are trying to arrest the other BCL activists and process is going on to take legal action against the arrested persons.
