PATUAKHALI, Sept 10, 2025 (BSS) - A motorcycle rider was killed when a trolley hit his bike at Kanakadia Bazar under Bauphal upazila of the district today.

The deceased was Sajibul Islam Sajal, 29, son of Md. Mosharraf Hawlader of Narayanpasha village under Kanakdia union of the upazila.

The accident took place around 12.30 pm when a trolley coming from the opposite direction hit a motorcycle, leaving its rider Sajal injured critically, said Aktaruzzaman Sarker, Officer-in-Charge of Bauphal Police Station. 

Injured Sajal was taken to Bauphal Upazila Health Complex where on-duty-doctors declared him dead.

The trolley driver has been arrested and brought to the police station. Legal action will be taken in this incident, the OC said.
