PATUAKHALI, Sept 11, 2025 (BSS) - A total of 21 youths have been selected for recruitment as police constables in the district through a fully transparent process, spending only Taka 120 as the application fee.

The successful candidates, who secured the jobs were seen overwhelmed with emotion. Many, along with their family members, expressed their happiness through tears of joy immediately after the results were announced.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Md Anwar Zahid officially declared the results at the Police Lines on Wednesday evening (September 10).

This year, 1,804 job seekers from different upazilas of the district applied for the post of constable. Out of them, 240 candidates passed the written examination held on August 29.

Among the 240, results of 35 candidates were initially declared eligible for the oral examination. Following the completion of the oral exam, 21 candidates were finally selected, while 4 others were placed on the waiting list.

Later, SP Md Anwar Zahid welcomed the newly selected constables with flowers, praising their merit and honesty, and reaffirming the police department's commitment to transparent recruitment.
