MANIKGANJ, Sept 11, 2025 (BSS) - Manikganj District Awami League (AL) Organizing Secretary Amirul Islam Mottu, 65, was arrested from his house in the Khalpar area of the district town last night.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Manikganj Sadar Police Station SM Aman Ullah said, on secret information, a team of the police conducted a raid in the area and arrested Amirul from his house at the midnight of Wednesday.

He is accused in a case filed with Manikganj Sadar Police Station related to anti-discrimination student movement, the OC said.

The arrested was produced to the court here today, he added.
