KHAGRACHHARI, Sept 11, 2025 (BSS) - A youth was killed and another injured in a head-on collision between a truck and a motorcycle in the Chengi Bridge area of the district town last night.

The deceased was identified as Rijhus Chakma, 23, a resident of Tarabanchha area under Panchhari upazila.

The accident occurred around 9 pm yesterday when a speeding truck collided head-on with a motorcycle, leaving the rider, Rijhus Chakma, dead on the spot and another person injured, said Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Khagrachhari Sadar Police Station Abdul Baten Mridha.

The injured was initially taken to Khagrachhari Sadar Hospital and later shifted to Chittagong Medical College Hospital in critical condition, OC added.
