Indian mobile phones seized in Cumilla

CUMILLA (South), Oct 7, 2025 (BSS) - Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) seized a large quantity of Indian mobile phones and mobile phone displays from the Dhanpur Math border area under Sadar Dakshin upazila this morning.

Based on information, a BGB team of Jashpur Border Outpost (BOP) under Cumilla BGB-10 Battalion conducted a drive and recovered 90 Indian mobile phones of various brands and 348 mobile phone displays, said Cumilla BGB-10 Battalion Commander Lieutenant Colonel Mir Ali Ejaz.

The seized items are worth Taka 60,86,868, he added.

The confiscated goods will be handed over to the customs authorities following legal procedures.
