DHAKA, Oct 7, 2025 (BSS) - Captain Yasir Ali Chowhdury hammered a brilliant 
half-century as Chattogram Division kept up their winning spree in the NCL 
T20 tournament, having thrashed Dhaka Division by five wickets at Sylhet 
International Cricket Stadium today.

In a match that was reduced to 13 overs due to a spell of shower, Dhaka were 
restricted to 119-6 after being sent to bat first.

Captain Mosaddek Hossain Saikat was the top-scorer with 27 ball-32 not out 
while Ariful Islam made 23.

Opener Jishan Alam gave them a high flying start with 7 ball-21.

However, that was not enough to dent the mood of Chattogram, which recovered 
from a top order collapse to gun down the target in 12.2 overs, reaching 123-
5.

Chattogram were at the receiving end after being reduced to 36-4 in the sixth 
over but captain Yasir counter-attacked in style to lead the side to an 
emphatic victory at the end.

Yasir was not out on 27 ball-53, hammering four fours and three sixes. He was 
ably supported by Irfan Shukkur who made 30 off 15 with three sixes.
