JHENAIDAH, Oct 7, 2025 (BSS) - A minor boy drowned in a water body at Charbakharba village of Sarutia union under Shailkupa upazila of the district today.
The deceased was Chahad Biswas, 02, son of Sabuj Biswas of the village.
Chahad was playing near his house in the afternoon. Later, when the family members could not find him, they started searching. At one stage, the child's body was found floating in the water of an irrigation canal near the house.
He was rescued and taken to Shailkupa Upazila Health Complex, where the on-duty doctor declared him dead.
Officer-in-Charge of Shailkupa Police Station Masum Khan confirmed the matter.
