FARIDPUR, Oct 15, 2025 (BSS) - Two people were killed and 20 others injured 
in a road accident in Purba Sadardi area under Bhanga upazila of the district 
this morning.

One of the deceased was identified as Shamsunnahar Begum, wife of police 
personnel Sub-Inspector (SI) Nazrul Islam. 

The accident took place around 10 am when a bus of 'Shyamoli Paribahan' hit 
another bus of 'Euroline Paribahan' from behind, causing the bus in front to 
lose control and fall into a roadside ditch.

One passenger died on the spot and at least 21 others were injured, said Md. 
Rakibuzzaman, officer-in-charge (OC) of Bhanga Highway Police Station.

Another passenger died on the way to Faridpur Medical College Hospital. 

Rest of the injured were admitted to Bhanga Upazila Health Complex.

Some of the injured have been sent to Dhaka for better treatment as their 
condition deteriorated.
