CHATTOGRAM, Oct 19, 2025 (BSS) - Members of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) have arrested an alleged robber from Sitakunda upazila of the district.
The arrested individual was identified as Shri Niranjan Das, 40, son of Prafulla Kumar Das of the Sarikaiv area under Sandwip Police Station.
Niranjan was accused in a robbery case filed with Kotwali Police Station.
RAB Senior Assistant Director ARM Mozaffar Hossain said acting on a tip-off, a RAB team conducted a raid in the South Eidilpur sea beach area of Sitakunda upazila on Saturday night and apprehended him.
The arrested person was handed over to Sadarghat Naval Police Station in Chattogram for necessary legal procedures, ARM Mozaffar Hossain added.
