Mahaharinam ritual held at Ragurampur in Madaripur

MADARIPUR, Oct 27, 2025 (BSS) – The Mahaharinam ritual, a ritual of the Hindu community, was held at Ragurampur area of Chilarchar union under Sadar upazila here on Sunday.

Former member of the parliament (MP) and sub-assistant secretary of education affairs of BNP national executive committee, Helen Jerin Khan was present at the programme.

She said through this event, organized by the local Hindu community, the message of harmony, peace, and unity will be spread in the community.

She said, “Bangladesh has established itself as a role model of communal harmony.” A peaceful society can be built by increasing mutual respect and love among all, she added. 

After the programme, BNP national executive committee member Helen Jerin exchanged views with the local people and expressed her commitment to work for overall development of the area.

The local people were happy to have the former MP and expressed their support for the sheaf of paddy, according to facebook page of BNP media cell.
