DHAKA, Oct 27, 2025 (BSS)- Hosts Bangladesh's final hope of the CAVA Cup
Men's 2025 shattered when they suffered a 3-1 set defeat to Afghanistan in
their crucial last round robin league held at Shaheed Suhrawardy Indoor
Stadium in Mirpur today (Monday).

Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Sri Lanka won three matches each in the
tournament, but Afghanistan secured a place in the final due to their lead on
points.

Afghanistan will face Turkmenistan in the final of the tournament. On the
other hand, hosts Bangladesh will play against Sri Lanka in the third-place
match. The two teams will fight for the bronze medal.

Earlier on the day, Sri Lanka cruised to their third victory of the
tournament, sweeping Nepal 3-0 set. Meanwhile, the already-qualified
Turkmenistan wrapped up the round with yet another 3-0 straight-sets win over
Maldives finishing the league phase unbeaten. Maldives, on the other hand,
exited without a single win.
