DHAKA, Oct 27, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General and former lawmaker Professor Mia Golam Parwar today met with Johann Saathoff, Parliamentary State Secretary to the Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development of the Federal Republic of Germany.

The meeting took place during a reception hosted by the German Embassy in Dhaka to mark Secretary Saathoff’s visit. The event was attended by ambassadors, high commissioners, diplomats, political leaders, retired military officials, senior government representatives, and prominent members of the civil society.

German Ambassador to Bangladesh Dr. Rüdiger Lotz and Ivana Lotz hosted the reception, which was attended by Mia Golam Porwar as an invited guest.

During the meeting, Porwar conveyed his best wishes for the continued happiness, peace, and prosperity of the government and people of Germany. 

He also expressed hope that the existing bilateral trade and diplomatic relations between Bangladesh and Germany would grow even stronger in the coming days.
