Drug trader held in Khulna

KHULNA, October 29, 2025 (BSS) - Members of Bangladesh Navy conducted a drive and detained a drug trader at Dighalia upazila in Khulna on Tuesday night. 

The detainee was identified as Md. Anwarul , 36, hailed from Dighalia upazila.
 
The naval team conducted drive at Kamarghati area near Mominpur Switch Gate and arrested the listed drug dealer Anwarul with 500 grams of cannabis from his possession, said a press release issued by the Navy's media cell on Wednesday.

The accused had reportedly been involved in drug trading in the area for a long time.

The seized drugs and the detainee were later handed over to Dighalia Police Station for legal action, the release added.
