KHULNA, Oct 29, 2025 (BSS) – Khulna City Corporation (KCC) today evicted illegal structures from various roads in the Housing Estate area of Khalishpur.

To facilitate road and drainage development, KCC carried out the eviction drives under the supervision of Executive Magistrate Kohinur Jahan.

Earlier, most owners had voluntarily removed the illegal parts of their buildings following KCC’s request. However, the remaining illegal portions were demolished today under the city corporation’s initiative.

During the drive, Aminul Islam, owner of “Shammi Store,” and Imran Khan, owner of “Departmental Store Hatbazar,” were each fined Tk 1,000 for obstructing pedestrian movement by placing refrigerators and other goods on the footpath of Road No. 18 in the Housing Estate area.

KCC Estate Officer Gazi Salauddin, along with members of the Khulna Metropolitan Police, participated in the operation. The drive will continue in the public interest.
