CMUJ holds doa mahfil for swift recovery of Khaleda Zia

CHATTOGRAM, Dec 3, 2025 (BSS) – Chattogram Metropolitan Union of Journalists (CMUJ) organised a Khatme Quran and Doa Mahfil seeking divine blessings for the quick recovery of BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia.

Held at its auditorium yesterday afternoon, a large number of journalists, professionals, and religious leaders took part in the prayer session with CMUJ President Mohammed Shah Nowaz in the chair.

Speaking at the function, journalist leaders recalled the outstanding contribution of former PM and BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia in establishing and promoting democracy, as well as accelerating the development of the country during her more than four decades of vibrant and distinguished political career.

They also paid their deep respect to the ailing leader for her initiatives for the greater welfare of the journalist community, as well as for ensuring freedom of the media to a large extent.

Ctg Press Club (CPC) Member Secretary Zahidul Karim Kachi, CMUJ General Secretary Saleh Noman, CPC’s EC Members Mustafa Nayeem and Golam Mowla Murad, and CMUJ leaders, including Mazumder Nazim Uddin, Shahidul Islam, Aminul Islam, Mahbubul Mowla Ripon, and Hasan Mukul, among others, addressed the programme.

Moulana Mohammad Habibullah conducted the Doa Mahfil and Munajat, seeking special blessing from Almighty Allah for the swift recovery of Begum Khaleda Zia.
