Van driver electrocuted in Jhenaidah

JHENAIDAH, Dec 6, 2025 (BSS) - A van driver died after being electrocuted at Garaganj village under Shailkupa upazila of the district on Friday evening.

The deceased was Mithu Hossain, 30, son of Keramat Shaha of the area. 

Locals said that van driver Mithu Hossain was repairing the tin fence of his house around 6.30 pm. At that time, he was accidentally electrocuted and seriously injured. 

Later, he was taken to Shailkupa Upazila Health Complex where on-duty doctor declared him dead. 

Shailkupa Police Station Officer-in-Charge Masum Khan confirmed the matter.
