Doa mahfil held in Bagerhat for Khaleda Zia's swift recovery

BAGERHAT, Dec 9, 2025 (BSS) - A Quran recitation and doa mahfil was held this afternoon at the Kachua Degree College ground in Bagerhat, seeking swift recovery of BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia. The event was organized by the Kachua Upazila BNP.

Kachua Upazila BNP President Sardar Zahid presided over the programme, while Upazila BNP General Secretary Sheikh Touhidul Islam conducted it.

In a short discussion before the prayer session, speakers said Begum Khaleda Zia had devoted her life to restoring democracy in the country and had earned a place in the hearts of the people as a steadfast leader. 

They noted that her wellbeing is important not only to BNP but to the nation as a whole, and essential for political stability and democratic progress. They prayed for her quick recovery and long life.

Local BNP, Juba Dal and Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal leaders and activists, among others, were present at the programme.

The programme concluded with a special prayer seeking her speedy recovery.
