Meeting on renovation of polling centers, law and order held in Magura

MAGURA, Dec 22, 2025 (BSS)- A views-exchange meeting was held in Mohammadpur 
upazila here today to discuss the renovation of polling centers and the overall law and order situation in preparation for the upcoming National Parliamentary Elections.

The meeting took place at 11:00 am at the Mohammadpur Upazila Parishad conference room with the participation of officials from various government departments of the upazila. 

Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Magura Md. Abdullah Al Mahmud addressed the meeting as the chief guest while Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of Mohammadpur upazila Md. Shahnur Zaman was in the chair.

Detailed discussions were held on pre-election preparations, necessary renovation of polling centers, the duties and responsibilities of designated officials and employees, as well as the overall law and order situation during the election period.

During the meeting, the DC stated that all levels of government officials and employees must perform their duties responsibly to ensure a peaceful, fair, and transparent election. 

He emphasized maintaining professionalism and neutrality in all election-related activities.

After the views-exchange meeting, DC Abdullah visited Mohammadpur Police Station. During the visit, he provided necessary directives to the concerned police officials regarding maintaining law and order, strengthening security during the election period, and further enhancing police activities in serving the general public.
