10 held in separate police drives in Munshiganj

MUNSHIGANJ, Jan 9, 2026 (BSS) – Police arrested 10 people in six separate drives across the district over the last two days, recovering drugs, Rapid Action Battalion uniforms and cash linked to robbery.

The arrestees were identified as Md Islam Sheikh, 24, Selim Talukder, 26, Alam Dewan, 35, Raju Mia, 30, Habibur Rahman, 30, Lipi Islam, 30, Abdur Rahman, 36, Md Russel, 38, Md Yasin, 18, and Rahmatullah, 36.

According to a press release issued by the district police, the arrests were made during raids conducted at different locations in the district based on secret information.

Officers-in-charge of Louhajang, Gazaria and Srinagar police stations said cases have been filed against the arrestees under the Narcotics Control Act.
