BNP leader Dr Zahid urges party-men to be responsible in party activities

DINAJPUR, Jan 9, 2026 (BSS) - BNP Standing Committee member Dr AZM Zahid Hossain today urged the party workers to be responsible in carrying out organisation’s activities. 

"We, who are workers of the nationalist ideology, must be highly responsible. If we cannot maintain a disciplined state, we will not be able to prepare ourselves for a Bangladesh that BNP's Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman wants to see in the days to come."

Dr Zahid made the remarks as the chief guest at an emergency meeting organized by the district BNP in Dinajpur on the occasion of BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman's visit to Dinajpur. The meeting was held at the Dinajpur Shishu Academy Auditorium this evening.

He urged everyone to hold on to the unity in line with BNP's ideology and party directives in the coming days and move forward in electoral activities.

At the same time, he gave instructions to work unitedly for the successful implementation of the programme of BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman’s visit to Dinajpur ahead of the upcoming January 12. 

He said, "Tarique Rahman will visit the graves of his maternal grandparents and aunt at the Faridpur graveyard in Dinajpur city. Besides, he will inquire about the family members of the martyrs and the injured of the July 2024 movement."

The meeting was presided over by District BNP President Advocate Md. Mofazzal Hossain Dulal and conducted by General Secretary Bakhtiar Ahmed Kochi. 

BNP's candidate for Dinajpur-2 constituency, Sadik Riaz Chowdhury Pinak, and candidate for Dinajpur Sadar constituency, Syed Jahangir Alam, spoke at the event. Party’s MP candidates from the district's 6 constituencies, members of the district BNP secretary council, leaders and workers of associated organizations, and leaders from various levels were present at the event.
