DoE conducts campaign against noise pollution in Thakurgaon

THAKURGAON, Jan 13, 2026 (BSS) – The Department of Environment (DoE) today conducted a mobile court here as part of a campaign against noise pollution.

The mobile court, led by Executive Magistrate Hasna Hena Labani, fined three vehicles Tk 2,000 for using hydraulic horns exceeding the permissible noise level.

During the drive, awareness leaflets on the harmful effects of noise pollution were distributed among vehicle drivers, and stickers were also affixed to different vehicles.

Members of the district Ansar assisted in conducting the mobile court.

The Thakurgaon District Office of the Department of Environment said such campaigns and mobile courts will continue to curb noise pollution.
