Doa mahfil held in Magura for Arafat Rahman Koko's death anniversary

MAGURA, Jan 24, 2026 (BSS) - A mourning rally, discussion and doa mahfil were held in the distrcit today marking the 11th death anniversary of Arafat Rahman Koko, the youngest son of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman Bir Uttam and former BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.

The programmes were organized by Arafat Rahman Koko Sporting Club, Magura. A mourning rally was brought out from the club premises in the Bhaina Mor area at 11:00 am and marched through major streets before returning to the club. 

Following the rally, a brief discussion was held. Speakers said Arafat Rahman Koko was a dedicated sports organizer and that his contributions to the development of sports in Bangladesh are still remembered by sports lovers.

After the discussion, a special doa mahfil was held seeking eternal peace for the departed soul of Arafat Rahman Koko.

Local BNP leaders and activists, athletes and people from different walks of life took part in the programme.
