Selimuzzaman stresses voting rights for sustainable devt in Gopalganj

GOPALGANJ, Jan 24, 2026 (BSS) - BNP-nominated candidate for the Gopalganj-1 
constituency and co-organising secretary of the party's national executive 
committee Selimuzzaman Selim has stressed that sustainable development in 
Muksudpur-Kashiani upazila can only be achieved if the voting rights of the 
people are protected.

He made the remarks at an election meeting organised by people of Mahmudpur 
union in Kashiani upazila on Friday night.

"I do not want to be an MP for personal gain, but to be your representative. 
If you give me the opportunity to serve by voting for the Sheaf of Paddy 
symbol in the upcoming elections, I will work to create social initiatives to 
tackle unemployment, develop roads and ghats, improve the education system, 
and eradicate drug abuse in Kashiani-Muksudpur upazila," Selimuzzaman said.

The event was attended by prominent local and central leaders, including 
Kashiani Upazila BNP President Golam Mostafa Mollah, Jubo Dal Central Leader 
Mahamudul Hasan Bappi, Chhatra Dal Central Parliament Student Affairs 
Secretary Faria Islam Meghla, Mahila Dal Central Executive Committee Office 
Secretary Nargis Akhter, Kashiani Upazila BNP Student Affairs Secretary 
Billal Khan, Kashiani Upazila Swechhasebak Dal Member Secretary Milon Khan, 
and Chhatra Dal President Amirul Islam Sohel.
