RAJSHAHI, Jan 26, 2026 (BSS)- A daylong job fair and seminar was arranged 
here with participation of many employing organisations and job seekers today 
(Monday).

The fair titled "Building an Advanced Nation through Partnerships between 
Technical Education and Industry" paved the way of getting jobs for many 
graduates enriched with technical knowledge.

Rajshahi Government Survey Institute (RGSI) hosted the fair at its complex 
under the Ministry of Education's Accelerating and Strengthening Skills for 
Economic Transformation (ASSET) project.

Assistant Project Director Professor Nazrul Islam and Principal of Rajshahi 
Polytechnic Institute Abu Hanif addressed the event as the chief and special 
guests respectively with RGSI Principal Amirul Islam in the chair.

During his keynote presentation, Engineer Junayed Ahmed, Officer of the 
Certification Marks Wing at the BSTI Divisional Office, highlighted the 
importance of practical education alongside theoretical learning.

He also said the role of the industrial sector together with co-existence 
between education and industry, the significance of public-private 
partnerships, and the necessary steps are the prime needs for building an 
advanced nation.

Prof Nazrul Islam urged students not to focus solely on seeking jobs but to 
enhance their skills and become new entrepreneurs.

He also advised working with honesty, integrity, and dedication to achieve 
the highest levels of success.

Engineer Abdullah His Safi, head of the Surveying Technology Department, 
welcomed the participants.
