Jamaat holds election rallies in 3 Netrakona seats

NETRAKONA, Feb 7, 2026 (BSS)- The leaders of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami today 
held election rallies with the Dharipalla (The Scales) symbol in three 
parliamentary constituencies of Netrakona district-- Netrakona-3, Netrakona-4 
and Netrakona-5. 

The rallies, beginning at 9 am, continued over the day.
Jamaat's Assistant Secretary General Maulana ATM Ma'sum attended the rallies 
as the chief guest. 

Central Executive Committee member Manjurul Islam Bhuiyan, RUCSU VP Mustakur 
Rahman Zahid, former district Ameer Maulana Enamul Haque, district Ameer 
Maulana Sadeq Ahmad Haris and Nayeb-e-Ameer Maulana Mahbubur Rahman were 
present as special guests.

Speakers at the rallies alleged that successive governments over the past 54 
years had deprived people of their rights.

They also appealed to the public to reject terrorism, extortion, corruption, 
harassment of women and loan defaulters through ballots on February 12.

The Dharipalla symbol candidates are: Masum Mostafa in Netrakona-5 
(Purbadhala) constituency while Md. Al-Helal Talukder in Netrakona-4 (Madan, 
Mohanganj, Khaliajuri), and Md. Khairul Kabir Niyogi in Netrakona-3 (Atpara-
Kendua).

Thousands of leaders, activists and general people from district and upazila 
levels joined the rallies.
