Seven traders fined over violating market regulations in Banshkhali

CHATTOGRAM, Feb 20, 2026 (BSS) - A mobile court here today fined seven traders Tk 16,000 on charges of selling daily necessities at inflated prices and failing to display price lists and preserving product purchase receipts. 

The drive carried out by Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate Md. Omar Sani Akon took place at Bailchhari market in Banshkhali upazilla of the district.

Omar Sani Akon said such drives will continue throughout Ramadan to ensure fair pricing and protect consumers' interests.
