FENI, Feb 20, 2026 (BSS) - Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Abdul Awal Mintoo has launched a website and hotline to make his constituency, Feni-3 (Daganbhuiyan-Sonagazi), free from extortion, terrorism and other irregularities.

The announcement was made on Friday through his verified Facebook page. As part of his zero-tolerance stance against criminal activities, Mintoo introduced a dedicated hotline number -- 01730-004844 -- allowing victims to report incidents directly.

"We are determined to make the Feni-3 constituency free from extortion, terrorism and any kind of irregularities," he wrote, seeking cooperation from residents to help build a safe and secure society.

He urged citizens to come forward with information without fear, assuring them that their identities would remain confidential. He also called on everyone to remain vigilant and encourage others to do the same from their respective positions.

In addition to the hotline, Mintoo launched a website -- www.aamintoo.com -- where complaints can be submitted confidentially, according to the post.

Reaffirming his "zero tolerance" policy against extortion and terrorism, the minister emphasized that collective efforts are essential to ensure peace and stability in the constituency.

Local residents noted that during his election campaign, Mintoo had pledged to prioritize eliminating extortion, terrorism and drug-related activities from the area.

They said the initiative reflects his commitment to fulfilling that promise.
