College student killed in Ctg road accident

CHATTOGRAM, Feb 25, 2026 (BSS) – A college student was killed today when a speeding truck hit him in the Manik Dargah area of Andhar in Satkania.

The deceased, Khorshed Rabbi, a resident of Nalitabari in Sherpur district, was a fourth-year honours student in the Political Science department at Anandamohan College.

Sub-Inspector (SI) Ruhul Amin of Dohazari Highway Police Station said that Khorshed Rabbi, along with four friends, was travelling to Cox’s Bazar in a microbus on Tuesday night. In the morning, they parked the vehicle on the side of the highway in the Manik Dargah area. While Rabbi was moving from the front seat to the back seat, a speeding truck hit him from behind, causing his instant death.

SI Ruhul Amin added that the truck fled the scene after the accident. Upon receiving the information, police recovered the body and brought it to the station. Following the necessary legal procedures, the body was later handed over to the deceased’s relatives.
