DHAKA, Feb 25, 2026 (BSS) - The government has identified a fake website 
operating in the name of the Ministry of Social Welfare and warned citizens 
to remain cautious to avoid possible fraud.

In an official statement issued today, the authorities said the official 
website of the Ministry of Social Welfare - 
[www.msw.gov.bd](http://www.msw.gov.bd) - is functioning normally and remains 
secure.

However, it has come to the ministry's notice that a fraudulent website under 
the domain name "mswbd.org" is being operated in imitation of the ministry, 
which may create confusion among the public.

The ministry urged citizens to remain vigilant and not to be misled by the 
fake website. If any hacker group or dishonest individual attempts to carry 
out fraudulent activities using the name of the Ministry of Social Welfare, 
the public has been requested to inform the ministry through its ICT wing at 
phone number 01915026423.

As a key ministry directly engaged with public welfare services, the Ministry 
of Social Welfare emphasized that necessary legal actions will be taken 
against any hacker group or individuals involved in such activities.
