DHAKA, Feb 24, 2026 (BSS) - A court here today ordered to freeze 10 bank accounts of former director general (DG) of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)
Barrister Md Harun Ar Rashid, his wife Fatema Pervin Luna, over graft allegations.

Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Md Sabbir Faiz passed an order allowing the Anti-Corruption Commission's (ACC) plea.

The application stated that allegations against Md Harun Ar Rashid regarding the acquisition of illegal assets worth Taka 1,000 crore and money laundering
are currently under investigation. During the inquiry, a review of records found a substantial amount of movable assets in the names of Harun and his
wife, Luna.

However, the investigation did not find any satisfactory legal source of income corresponding to these assets.

Reliable sources have revealed that the accused and his wife are attempting to transfer, relocate, or dispose of the movable assets. If these assets are
transferred or moved, there is a strong possibility of significant loss to the state.

"Therefore, it is necessary to freeze the movable assets acquired in the names of Md Harun Ar Rashid and his wife," the ACC plea added.
