Families of motor workers members get financial aid in Naogaon

NAOGAON, March 14, 2026 (BSS) - Financial grants and education allowances were distributed to the families of deceased members of the Naogaon Motor Workers Union today.

The distribution ceremony took place at the union's premises at 11 am, marking a significant step in supporting the families of the workers who have passed away.

The financial grants were handed over by Abu Bakkar Siddique Nannu, the Convener of the District Motor Workers Union and the District BNP President. 

During the event, Nannu expressed solidarity with the families and highlighted the importance of supporting the motor workers' community in their time of need.

Syed Rezaul Karim Mostafa Kalimi Babu, President of the District Road Transport Owners Group and Raihan Alam, President of the Naogaon District Press Club, were also present to show their support. 

The ceremony was attended by a host of other prominent leaders, including Mominul Haque Chanchal, Hasan Ali Sardar, Al Mamun, Golam Rabbani, Nasir Uddin, Selim, Faruk Hossain, and Azizul, along with several other leaders from the Road Transport Owners Group and the Motor Workers Union.

The total financial assistance amounted to Taka 21.80 lakh, with each of the 109 families of deceased members receiving a grant of Taka 20,000. 

In addition, Taka 318,000 was distributed as education allowances to 53 children of the deceased workers, ensuring their continued educational opportunities.
