Speaker, Deputy Speaker plant trees on Parliament premises

DHAKA, March 14, 2026 (BSS) - National Parliament Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmed Bir Bikram and Deputy Speaker Barrister Kayser Kamal today planted mango saplings in the Rose Garden of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban premises.

The Speaker first planted a mango sapling, followed by the Deputy Speaker, who also planted a mango sapling. 

After the planting ceremony, both offered prayers for the eternal peace of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman, Begum Khaleda Zia, their youngest son Arafat Rahman Koco, and all martyrs who laid down their lives for the country's independence.

Earlier, the Speaker inspected his parliamentary bungalow.

The ceremony was attended by the Secretary of the National Parliament Secretariat, Additional Secretaries, the Sergeant-at-Arms, other officials and employees and media personnel.
