DHAKA, March 14, 2026 (BSS) - Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Minister Faqir Mahbub Anam today said earning public trust remains the foremost goal of the postal service stressing that improving service quality will strengthen people's confidence in the institution.

The minister made the remarks while exchanging views with officials after visiting the Dhaka General Post Office in the capital.

Describing the Dhaka GPO as a historic and landmark institution of the country's postal network, the minister said maintaining a clean, disciplined and efficient environment there is the collective responsibility of all concerned. 

He added that with coordinated efforts the postal service can be transformed into a more modern and service-friendly institution.

Posts and Telecommunications Division Secretary Abdun Naser Khan spoke as the special guest with Directorate of Posts Director General Kazi Asadul Islam in the chair. 

Officials from different levels of the Directorate of Posts and other concerned stakeholders were present.
