RANGPUR, March 15, 2026 (BSS) - The district's main Eid-ul-Fitr congregation will be held at the Rangpur Collectorate Eidgah grounds at 8:30 am on Eid day.

This information was given in a press note issued by the Rangpur Regional PID office to the media this afternoon.

The Rangpur district administration and Rangpur City Corporation have already made extensive preparations for holding the main Eid-ul-Fitr congregation.

The Eid-ul-Fitr prayers will be led by the khatib of the historic Rangpur Keramatia Jame Mosque and prominent Islamic thinker Maulana Md Bayezid Hossaine.

If the weather is bad on Eid day, the main Eid-ul-Fitr congregation will be held in two phases at the Rangpur District Model Mosque and Islamic Cultural Center.

In that case, the first congregation of Eid-ul-Fitr will be held there at 8:30 am and the second congregation at 9 am.

Eid congregations will be held in other Eidgahs and mosques of the district in accordance with the timing of the main congregation of Eid-ul-Fitr.

On the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, improved diets will be served to hospitals, prisons, children's families and orphanages and vagabond centers.
