Masakata  Dighi School celebrates 73-yrs of tradition with festive reunion

RAJSHAHI, March 23, 2026 (BSS)- The first reunion of the traditional educational institution Masakata Dighi Multipurpose High School in Paba upazila of Rajshahi was held in a festive atmosphere, marking its 73rd anniversary. 

The event was inaugurated at 10:30 am on Monday with the hoisting of the national flag during the national anthem, followed by the release of balloons, festoons, and pigeons.
 
A joyful atmosphere spread across the campus throughout the day as both former and current students participated in the festival.

The chief guest  Advocate Shafiqul Haque Milon, MP, in his address  said  that a school is not just a place for academic learning, but one of the primary institutions that shapes the foundation of a person’s life.

 Time spent with teachers, classrooms, and classmates becomes invaluable memories in a person’s life. He called upon all to carry those memories forward and work for future generations.
 
The chief guest also stated that the issues and demands raised, including the nationalization of the school, would be considered with importance.

He assured that steps would be taken gradually to resolve the problems. He also urged former students to come forward to further enrich the institution’s development and educational environment.
 
With Dr. Abdul Wadud in the chair, the special guest was Rajshahi University Vice-Chancellor Professor Farid Islam.

Other speakers emphasized the overall development of the school, improvement of educational standards, and strengthening communication and unity among alumni. 
They also expressed hope that such reunions would be organized regularly in the future.
 
After a long time, the reunion created an emotional atmosphere among former students as they met their classmates. 
Some shared memories of their student life, while others revisited moments from their childhood and adolescence. Cultural performances, reminiscences, and a lively gathering added extra joy and enthusiasm to the event.
 
The organizers said that the reunion was not just a celebration, but an effort to strengthen the bond between former and current students. 
In its 73-year glorious journey, the event highlighted the school’s heritage, memories, and future potential once again.
