Founding anniversary of ICCR celebrated in Rajshahi

RAJSHAHI, April 10, 2026 (BSS) - The 77th founding anniversary of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) was observed in Rajshahi on Thursday through a programme organized by the Assistant High Commission of India.

Administrator of Rajshahi City Corporation, Mahfuzur Rahman Riton, attended the program as the chief guest.

Speaking on the occasion, Mahfuzur Rahman Riton highlighted the importance of strengthening the friendly relations between Bangladesh and India.

The event, held in a festive atmosphere, brought together guests from diplomatic, cultural and social spheres. 

Speakers underscored the longstanding ties, cultural exchange and growing cooperation between the two neighbouring countries.

They expressed hope that mutual understanding and people-to-people contact would be further enhanced through continued cultural engagement.
