3 held with 1,759 yaba tablets in Dinajpur

RANGPUR, April 12, 2026 (BSS) - Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-13 arrested three assumed drug peddlers along with 1,759 pieces of yaba tablets from Polipara village under Parbatipur police station in Dinajpur on Saturday afternoon.
 
A press release signed by RAB-13's Senior Assistant Director (Media) and Additional Superintendent of Police Biplab Kumar Goswami confirmed the information this noon.
 
The detainees are Md Zikarul, 35, of village Kanchabari Konapara and Md Belal Mia, 38, of village Madaikhamar under Badarganj upazila of Rangpur and Sakhina Begum, 36, of village Tikur under Nababganj police station of Dinajpur district. 
 
On a tip off, the RAB-13's Crime Prevention Specialised Company (CPSC) from Rangpur in a raid searched the bodies of the three persons at Polipara village, seized 1759 pieces of y
aba tablets and motorcycle and arrested them from the spot at 4:40 pm.
 
After filing a case in this incident, the elite force handed over the seized drugs, motorcycle and the arrested persons to Nababganj police station of Dinajpur district, the release added.
