1,200 liters of petrol seized, trader fined in Parbatipur

RANGPUR, April 12, 2026 (BSS) - A mobile court seized 1,200 liters of petrol illegally stored in the Parbatipur Bus Terminal area under Parbatipur police station in Dinajpur district and fined a businessman Taka 5,000 on Saturday evening.

The RAB-13 and Parbatipur upazila administration jointly initiated the mobile court, a press release issued here by RAB-13's Senior Assistant Director (Media) and Additional Superintendent of Police Biplab Kumar Goswami said. 

Parbotipur Upazila Nirbahi Officer M Saddam Hossain led the mobile court.

During the raid, the mobile court seized 1,200 liters of illegally hoarded petrol worth about Taka 1,39,200 and fined its owner, businessman Md Raihanul Islam, 27, of the Hazipara area under Parbatipur police station of Dinajpur district. 

"In addition, RAB-13's ongoing drive will continue to implement the zero tolerance policy against crimes such as illegal hoarding, selling goods at excessive prices and food adulteration," the release added.
