240 students in Patuakhali get school bags, tiffin boxes

PATUAKHALI, April 15, 2026 (BSS) - School bags and tiffin boxes were 
distributed among 240 students from secondary schools and madrasas in 
Dashmina upazila of the district on Wednesday.

The distribution programme was held at the Upazila Parishad (UP) Auditorium 
Hallroom around 1:00 pm. A total of 20 secondary schools and 11 madrasas 
participated in the initiative, benefiting approximately 240 students.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md. Saiful Islam presided over the event.

Among the distinguished attendees were former Upazila Freedom Fighter 
Commander Md. Nazir Ahmed, Youth Development Officer Md. Rafiqul Islam, 
Sonali Bank Branch Manager Md. Biliar Rahman and Administrative Officer Md. 
Shahabuddin.

Students from participating institutions attended the programme and received 
the distributed items, aimed at supporting their educational needs and 
encouraging regular school attendance.

The initiative reflects ongoing efforts to assist students in the region and 
promote access to basic educational resources.
