RCC holds coordination meeting for M-R Vaccination Campaign

RAJSHAHI, April 27, 2026 (BSS)- A coordination meeting on Measles-Rubella (M-R) Vaccination Campaign 2026  was held, today at Nagar Bhaban here organized by Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC)..

Presiding  over the meeting,   RCC Administrator Mahfuzur Rahman Riton. gave various directives to the concerned officials for the successful implementation of the Measles-Rubella Vaccination Campaign.
 
 "Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has given great importance to the healthcare sector. The current government has taken various steps to prevent measles and rubella. The M-R vaccination program is being carried out nationwide,”he said.

Riton further said “Immediately after taking charge, I took various initiatives, including the distribution of public awareness leaflets, to prevent measles and rubella," .
 
 The RCC has a strong reputation for healthcare services. Everyone must perform their respective duties properly to successfully implement the Measles-Rubella Vaccination Campaign, he added.

The meeting was attended by RCC Chief Executive Officer Rezaul Karim, Divisional Director (Health) Dr. Md. Habibur Rahman, Head of the Department of Pediatrics at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital Professor Shahida, Rajshahi Civil Surgeon Dr. Md. Raziur Rahman, RCC Chief Health Officer Dr. F.A.M. Anjuman Ara Begum and World Health Organization Divisional Coordinator Dr. Md. Kamruzzaman, among others.
