The drive took place from 7 am to 9:30 am in the hospital premises.

Under the leadership of the hospital's superintendent,  Dr. Asim Samaddar, resident medical officer, Dr. Tapas Kumar Sarkar and ward master Nazrul Islam, a group of fourth-class employees cleaned various wards, balconies, drains and surrounding areas of the hospital.

At this time, the hospital's superintendent, Dr. Asim Samaddar, said, "We are conducting a cleanliness drive with the theme of keeping our homes and courtyards clean, and preventing mosquito-borne diseases, including dengue. With the monsoon season approaching, the risk of dengue, chikungunya and other mosquito-borne diseases is increasing. In addition, the outbreak of measles, diarrhea, and other viral infectious diseases is also worrying. Therefore, in addition to being aware, the public should keep their surroundings clean."

He also said, "Keeping the hospital clean is not only the responsibility of the authorities, but it is the collective responsibility of everyone. Many diseases can be prevented by following hygiene rules and keeping the environment clean."

Resident Medical Officer, Dr. Tapas Kumar Sarkar, said, "Currently, due to weather changes, the risk of fever, colds and coughs, viral infections and measles in children is increasing. Therefore, everyone should be vigilant and ensure that necessary vaccinations are taken."
