Three drug peddlers arrested in Rajshahi

RAJSHAHI, May 10, 2026 (BSS) – Members of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested three alleged drug dealers along with 229 Yaba tablets and 78 bottles of Phensedyl from two separate places in the district last night.

An operational team from Rajshahi Sadar Company conducted a raid in Tatarpur Fouzdarpara under Charghat Police Station, acting on a tip-off, and arrested him with 229 Yaba tablets at 9:50 pm.

The arrested individual is Bashar Ali, 35, son of late Abli Hossain of Tatarpur Fouzdarpara.

In another operation, a team raided a Dhaka-bound bus in the Baneshwar Bazar area under Puthia police station and arrested two drug traffickers with 78 bottles of Phensidyl at 1:20 am today.

The arrested persons are Oliul, alias Jibon, 20, son of late Golam Mostafa of Nayalabhanga under Shibganj Police Station, and Tipu Sultan, 40, son of Monjor Ali of Pakuria.

Two separate cases have been filed with the respective police stations.
